 Suresh Sankaran, vice president and director of strategic consulting, heads, develops, and
provides enterprise risk management (ERM) and Basel II advisory consulting and educational
services to industry groups and IPS-Sendero KRM clients worldwide. A Fellow of the Institute
of Chartered Accountants, Sankaran has conducted several workshops and led several projects
relating to market and credit risk, Basel II, balance sheet management, and profitability measurement
across the globe. He has also presented sessions in the EuroMoney profitability seminar. He
frequently conducts seminars on risk-adjusted performance measurement (RAPM), focusing on the
various modalities specified in the Basel II framework. He has also presented workshops on
funds transfer pricing at the summer school of Cambridge University and the Turkish Bankers
Association. Sankaran has been a featured speaker in the workshops and seminars organised
by the Financial Stability Institute, a division of the Bank for International Settlements
(BIS).
Orlando B. Hanselman, an experienced banker,author and consultant, joined The IPS-Sendero Institute in July 2004 as education programmes director. His duties include designing and teaching customised financial, risk management and strategic seminars to internationalfinancial services organisations, professional banking associations and regulatory bodies. His areas of expertise include:

On these topics, Hanselman authors research papers and provides consultative services to clients.
Hanselman is a member of the US National Speakers’ Association and a top-rated speaker. He has written and delivered numerous presentations and workshops to financial institution audiences around the world. He is a frequent speaker for the Association for Management Information in Financial Services, Bank Administration Institute, Financial Managers Society, Institute Bank - Bank of Malaysia, and the Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance. He has also presented to CPA, banking and credit union societies.
Prior to joining IPS-Sendero, he led a regional multi-bank holding company in the northeastern US, serving first as its chief financial officer for eleven years and then as its chief executive officer for seven years. After graduating with honours from Bucknell University in 1981, he began his career with Price Waterhouse and spent six years with its banking group in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
